4Chan Pass Now Accepts BTC, BCH, ETH, and LTC Cryptocurrency Payments
4Chan Now Accepts Cryptos For Passes
The infamous imageboard 4chan has taken a very positive crypto stance lately and has decided to start to accept cryptocurrencies for the purchase of the annual passes that allow users to bypass captcha verifications on the site when posting. Now, users will be able to use Bitcoin Core (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum (ETH) and Litecoin (LTC) to pay for it.
4chan, as you should probably know, is notorious for its trolling on the internet and, more recently, for its political action and a certain sympathy with nazism from many users, which did a lot to stain the reputation of the site with mainstream media outlets. However, not everything is dark there, as there is a lot of humor and people passionately discussing topics like video games and anime.
The Pass
The main reason why the pass was implemented was the same one why the site is so infamous over the internet: you can post anything there. You can either start a completely harmless discussion or not. In any case, the platform has to use captcha systems to combat spam bots and prevent them from attacking the forums.
If you do not have a 4chan pass, you have to constantly get captcha requests when using the site to post. The passes were originally an idea created by the community to help to support the site and to block bots.
