ABCC Will Be Opening its European HQ in Malta and Sponsoring the Delta Summit 2018
According to a press release, ABCC Digital Asset Exchange, a world-renowned cryptocurrency and digital asset exchange has made the decision to set up its European HQ in Malta, thanks in large part to its Crypto-friendly governmental stance.
As a further gesture, it has also announced that it will be sponsoring the Delta Summit 2018, the Maltese government’s official blockchain event. Set to be held from 3-5 October 2018 in Malta, the summit will convene startups, businesses and others to promote a sharing of insights and ideas related to the blockchain space.
The exchange has also committed to contributing to a sponsorship package of equal distinction to its top-tier counterparts.
Malta has made significant progress, from a governmental standpoint, in transforming that way it does business with blockchain, Fintech and startup companies, passing three major pieces of legislation to establish a friendly, firm, but fair system of regulation for blockchain companies that wish to do business there.
These policies include the Malta Digital Innovation Authority Act, the Innovative Technological Arrangement and Services Act, and the Virtual Financial Asset Act.
In the wake of ABCC's announcements, the Junior Minister for Financial Services, Digital Economy, and Innovation within the office of the Prime Minister of Malta, Silvio Schembri provided a warm and welcoming statement.
“This comes just a few weeks after the Maltese Parliament enacted into law the highly anticipated three bills which will pave the way for the creation of a new economic sector. I thank ABCC for putting their trust in Malta and for providing their input to implement our vision and make Malta The Blockchain Island. I look forward to ABCC’s participation in Delta Summit, Malta Government Official Blockchain event, which will exhibit how far Malta has gone in becoming a leader in DLT regulation.”
ABCC's CEO, Calvin Cheng, also spoke of the announcement, saying:
“We are delighted to announce the opening of our first expansion into Europe and our partnership with Delta Summit. Indeed, we look forward to working closely with the Government of Malta and to support its transition into a digital innovation center of excellence.”
ABCC team was initially established by an international team of experts across a range of disciplines and industries. It also boasts a range of expert advisors such as Dr. Michael Frendo, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malta.
With the launch of the ABCC token in early July, it has steadily risen among the rankings of digital asset marketplaces, reaching 5th on a global index, according to CoinHills. Since the 25th of July, the marketplace has been in operation. As a key component of its digital asset ecosystem, AT plays a critical role in building consensus and creating and sharing value in the community.
ABCC intends to provide users with a state of the art, highly secure and easy to use interface for those interested in getting involved in the digital asset marketplace.
