Over $21 Million Worth OF BTC Moved As BTC Passes $8,000 Mark
Bitcoin’s price has been rising continuously with no sign of stopping, passing the $8,000 mark on the 13th of May, showing signs of more improvement in the near future.
The online Crypto tracker and cryptocurrency data aggregation website, WhaleAlert, recorded Bitcoin (BTC) transfers of 2,587 BTC, worth about 21 million dollars on the 14th of May at 0930 UTC.
Notable Transactions
After BTC passed the $8,000 mark, WhaleAlert listed some prominent BTC transactions on the 13th of May, including
- A 600 BTC transfer on Kraken worth 4.94 million dollars
- 1,142 BTC and 1000 BTC transfers on Bitstamp valued at $11.69 million and $8.22 million respectively
- 800 BTC transfer worth $6.57 million on Poloniex
On the 12th of May 2019, Bitcoin (BTC) recorded a 24 hour trading volume of way over $30 billion. The last time the 24hr trading volume of BTC was this high was back in January 2018, when the price of BTC was over $10,000.
Crypto Exchange Fudging
However, reports state that some cryptocurrency exchange platforms have been accused of bombarding their exchanges with large volumes of crypto transactions to inflate the assets values. With this, the current BTC price might surpass that of 2018.
