Agoras AGRS: What To Now About The IDNI Tauchain Token?
Intelligent Decentralized Networks Initiatives (IDNI) is a website that currently presents the following initiatives:
- A programmable decentralized P2P network based on ontologies and reasoning, referred to as Tau-Chain
- An intelligent market built upon Tau-Chain to feature intelligent personal agents, programming market, computational power market, and a futuristic search engine. This is referred to as Agoras
- Decentralizing the internet is possible only with decentralized physical infrastructure. We therefore intend to design placing routers in space after Tau-Chain and Agoras will be stable.
Concept of IDNI
IDNI team is interested in a process in which small or very large groups of people repeatedly reach and follow agreements. They refer to such processes as Social Choice. IDNI identifies five aspects arising from such processes: language, knowledge, discussion, collaboration, and choice about choice. They propose a social choice mechanism by a careful consideration of these aspects.
Problems Identified
Some of the main problems with collaborative decision-making have to do with scales and limits that affect flow and processing of information. Those limits are often believed to be inherent in reality such that they are mostly not considered to possible to overcome. For example, we naturally consider the case in which everyone has a right to vote. However, what about the case in which everyone has an equal right to propose what to vote for?
The Contrast
In small groups and everyday life, we usually don't vote but express our opinions, sometimes discuss them, and the agreement or disagreement or opinions map arises from the situation. However, on large communities, like a country, we can only think of everyone having a right to vote to some limited number of proposals.
We reach those few proposals using hierarchical (rather decentralized) processes, in the good case, in which everyone has some right to propose but the opinions flow through certain pipes and reach the voting stage almost empty from the vast information gathered in the process.
Yet, we don't even dare to imagine an equal right to propose just like an equal right to vote, for everyone, in a way that can actually work. Indeed how can that work? how can a voter go over equally-weighted one million proposals every day?
About TauChain
Tau-chain is a fully decentralized peer-to-peer network, which is a combination of many centralized and decentralized P2P networks, including the Blockchain. At Tau-Chain, they aim to generalize the concept as much as they find, and give users the ability to implement virtually any P2P network over tau-chain.
Its interpretations, uses, and consequences are far from being a P2P network only. It includes software development, legal, gaming, mathematics and sciences, logic, crypto-economies, social networks, rule-making, democracy and votes, software repositories (like decentralized Github+Appstore/Google Play), decentralized storage, software approval and verification, even “doing your homework in History or Math” in some sense (stronger sense that search engines), and many more aspects.
Tau-Chain proposes taking the language of Ontologies to unify languages of:
- Knowledge
- Rules
- Logic
- Computer Programs
- Network Protocols
They propose a software client that stores ontology of local rules, and determines its actions using a Reasoner. Reasoners are tools that infer new rules or conclusions given old ones. They do it intelligently – using pure logical reasoning, and they supply proofs for their results. Tauchain node is therefore an intelligent agent able to communicate with other agents, at the very same language they are written with, which is quite human-readable.
