Allcoin is the first listed digital asset exchange in the world, and claims to be “the Nasdaq of global blockchain assets”. Find out everything you need to know about Allcoin today in our review.
What is Allcoin?
Allcoin is a cryptocurrency exchange currently ranked in the top 40 exchanges in terms of 24 hour trading volume. The exchange is particularly popular with pairs like BTC/USD, GAME/BTC (GameCredits), Qtum/BTC, and DWC/BTC.
Qtum is a pre-launch cryptocurrency that works as an equity token. Deposits and withdrawals started to be offered in June 2017.
Allcoin is based in Vancouver, Canada. The exchange has been listed on the Canadian Securities Exchange since 2013. The first beta for the Allcoin exchange appeared online in February 2016.
In June 2017, Allcoin announced that it was issuing Qtum equity tokens. Qtum is a separate company that offers Qtum Equity Tokens as 1:1 equity shares in its company. Currently, Allcoin is one of only two online exchanges where you can buy and sell Qtum Equity Tokens (the other exchange is Yuanbao.com).
One of the goals of Allcoin was to create a cryptocurrency market where “all coins” can be traded. That’s why you see a lot of more obscure cryptocurrencies traded on Allcoin.
Allcoin Trading Pairs
Allcoin is a straightforward trading platform that works just like most other platforms on the internet today. We don’t need to tell you much information about its features. However, we can tell you about its trading pairs.
The reason Allcoin is popular is because it offers trading in pairs you don’t typically see on other markets. As mentioned above, Allcoin recently partnered with Qtum to issue the Qtum Equity Tokens. Allcoin is one of only two exchanges worldwide where you can currently buy those tokens.
At the time of writing, Allcoin was active in three main pairs, including:
The BTC/USD pair accounted for approximately 80% of all trading volume, while the second and third pairs accounted for about 10% trading volume each.
We’ve already told you about Qtum Equity Tokens. But what are Game Credits (GAME)? Game Credits are described as a “crypto payment gateway for the gaming industry.” It promises a seamless, easy solution for mobile game developers that results in fast processing speeds, affordable microtransaction payments, and no chargebacks or fraud cancellations.
At the time of writing, Allcoin was sitting between Polonix and Bittrex – two industry giants – in terms of 24 hour trading volume for GAME.
Allcoin is a digital currency exchange incorporated in Vancouver, Canada. The exchange is operated by a corporation named Cascadia Consumer Electronics Corp.
Since 2013, the company has been listed on the Canadian Securities Exchange under the stock code CK.
The first beta release of Allcoin appeared online in February 2016.
The main difference between Allcoin and other cryptocurrency exchanges is that it’s listed on the Canadian Securities Exchange, and it’s been listed there (under the stock code CK) since 2013. That makes Allcoin the world’s only listed digital assets exchange.
Of course, Allcoin is no slouch when it comes to trading volume: the exchange typically sits in the top 30 or 40 most popular exchanges worldwide in terms of 24 hour trading volume. As with most exchanges, the BTC/USD pair is particularly popular, but Allcoin is also popular among unique currencies that just launched.
You can contact Allcoin today to list your asset on the exchange. The ultimate goal of the exchange is to be the Nasdaq of the digital asset world. You can apply to list your asset on the exchange using the application form here.
