Almost 50 Million XRP Moved to the Exchange While Price Looking to Go Back to a Quarter’s Worth
About 50 million or 49,999,970 XRP, to be exact (worth $13,612,967) has been transferred from an unknown wallet to cryptocurrency exchange Bitstamp on Sept. 24, reported WhaleAlert, a live tracker of large crypto transactions from and to exchanges for different digital assets.
Interestingly, the fees charged on this huge transaction was merely 0.000045 XRP ($0.00001215).
Just last week, Whale Alert reported that 11 million XRP tokens were transferred from Ripple’s OTC distribution wallet to a third party.
And now another massive transfer.
These large transfers came while the digital asset moves downwards after the stellar performance of last week.
On Sept. 18, XRP price hit $0.32, that was last hit in early August only to slide downwards to $0.266, the lowest point of today.
However, among the top 15 cryptocurrencies, the second largest cryptocurrency is down by the least percentage, except for the stablecoin USDT.
However, if XRP continues to drop, it will soon claim the $0.25 level yet gain, a level it was trading around before this spike.
According to analyst DonAlt, if XRP manages to close above $0.30, it would be a buy opportunity as we could see more gains in the future,
“until then looking for longs around $0.20 instead.”
