Amount of Publishers on Brave Blockchain Web Browser Surges by Over 1,200% Since July 2018
- Over the course of the past 14 months or so, the number of people/content creators making use of Brave’s reward program have increased from 18,931 to around 226,700.
- Brave makes use of a native crypto offering called the Basic Attention Token (BAT) to facilitate its internal rewards-related transactions.
As per data released online by Batgrowth, the number of verified publishers who are now making use of Brave, a privacy-focused web browser, has increased by 1,200 percent (since mid-2018).
This clearly highlights the fact that the browser and its associated cryptocurrency — the Basic Attention Token (BAT) — are starting to gain more and more mainstream traction with each passing day.
Also, for those of our readers who may not be aware of how Brave works, it essentially allows users to earn BAT tokens if they choose to accept ads that are provided by Brave. These earned tokens can then be redeemed at a later stage in exchange for a variety of different things (such as micro-tipping content creators).
As per data available online, the volume of Brave Rewards publishers has gone up from 18,931 to around 226,700 over the past 18 months.
Publisher growth: +1500% (15x) in the last 12months :) from BATProject
Some of the people currently making use of the Brave Rewards system include various Youtube personalities, Twitch streamers and certain Twitter users.
It is also worth pointing out that Brave users now have the option to tip tweets and Reddit posts. At press time, Brave has been downloaded more than 10 million times on the Google Play Store.
