In a recent Reddit post, cryptocurrency users are discussing a price prediction made by a 4chan user on January 21st, 2019. This user said that Bitcoin (BTC) bottomed back on December 15 and that in April Bitcoin was going to reach $5,300.

Anonymous User Predicted Bitcoin Price Increase

An anonymous user in 4chan was able to correctly predict Bitcoin’s rally to $5,300. At the time of the prediction, Bitcoin was being traded around $3,650 and it didn’t seem close to end its bear trend. Nonetheless, this user explained that the bull market had just started.

The anonymous user wrote:

“The bottom was December 15, 2018. Just look at the charts. We are in the bull market. We are currently in the last 3 months of accumulation stage. After that, we will slowly rise and rise. Then we will boom.”

After it, he provided different price predictions for the upcoming months. He said that by April 2019, each BTC was going to be worth $5,300. In July, Bitcoin would reach $9,200, in October $16,000, in February $29,000, in July 2020, $56,000 and in November $87,000.

Moreover, he mentioned that Bitcoin will have a market capitalization of $1.5 trillion and a dominance between 40% and 46%. In the last few weeks, Bitcoin’s dominance has been falling due to the price increase of many other digital assets such as Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) or Binance Coin (BNB), among others.

Peter Brandt, a recognized trader, and chartist said that Bitcoin could be entering a new parabolic phase. He mentioned that Bitcoin bottomed back in December and that there could be a second bottom in the near future. However, he is not 100% sure about it. Several users explained that the second bottom was related to issues connected to Mt.Gox.

Currently, each Bitcoin can be purchased for $5,244 and it has a market capitalization of $92.5 billion.
