Ashton Kutcher’s Sound Ventures and Ripple for Good Partner to Impact Society
A tweet by Ashton Kutcher revealed on Thursday, September 27, that his Venture Capital firm, Sound Ventures has been working alongside Ripple to make a positive difference around the world through the latter’s payment systems, which the duo believes will initiate “financial inclusion worldwide”.

As the cryptocurrency market, project and communities start to expand, more emphasis is being placed on real use cases and how said projects can positively impact society – whether this is reflected through efficiency or good deeds. Some of the crypto firms who are travelling along this respective path include the obvious Ripple, Coinbase and Binance and as per Daily Hodl, their goals intertwine as they focus on eliminating poverty caused by disparities in income, standard of living and ultimately, wealth.
Kutcher’s relationship with Ripple was first witnessed on television, as he appeared as a guest on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. The show’s large audience was given a sneak peek into Ripple’s instant money transfer process, which ensured that host, Ellen received the funds for her Wildlife Charity with a touch of a finger.
During an event dubbed “TechCrunch Disrupt”, which took place last month in San Francisco, both Kutcher and tech-based firm, Sound Ventures’ Managing Director, Effie Epstein shared the process they undergo when deciding to support a project. While Kutcher sees opportunities in projects that could not be simply contained within a PowerPoint, Epstein trusts that supporting a project that gets a contradicting reaction is the way to success, as it will surely get a conversation going.
Ultimately, Kutcher’s involvement in Ripple along with “Ripple for Good” does not come of surprise, given the actor’s craze for the tech industry, while yearning to help make a positive difference.
