Atari Movie

What is the Atari Movie Review?

The basis is there is a movie coming out about the classic, highly iconic video and vey old school video game system. The guy making the nostalgic film was apparently looking for ways to finance the movie and came up with the idea to run an ICO for it, and hence here it is now. The tokens for the project will be named after the founder of the Atari, Nolan Bushnell and are being sold this spring. The films production crew and financing company Vision Tree also has a goal of hitting a hard cap of $40 million worth of the Bushnell Tokens.

Producer of the movie, J.D. Seraphine told the folks at Variety that:

“While the film has received offers from conventional and studio-sourced financing, we have elected cryptocurrency funding to accelerate the filmmaking path in a whole new way, offering Atari fans the opportunity to share in the creation of this movie with us.”

Anyone who invests into the platform will even get a share of the movie earnings depending on how much they spent. And on top of that, they get voters rights to the way the trailer is set, as if that’s not already cool enough, investors may get the opportunity to select a cast.

Seraphine went on to say, “We wanted to enable Atari fans and gamers to co-own the project and the experience. This open approach is also more in the DNA and the same spirit of Atari.”

Apparently, filmmakers have used blockchain technology before in the past. The indie film No Postage Necessary is going to use a blockchain based application to help promote and distribute the movie being released later this year.

Seraphine also told the magazine that he has optimistic hopes for the advancing technology:

“Blockchain technology and cryptocurrency financing will enable independent filmmakers and artists to not only create, but also own their projects that they can then grow over the span of their own career.”

How Doe the Atari Movie Work?

The new Atari Movie is currently in pre-production stages and is being headed by none other than Leonardo DiCaprio’s production company Appian Way, along with Vision Tree and Avery Productions. The pitcher is being sold as a biopic about the founder of Atari’s life and his story from playing pinball machines and repairing them for a job, all the way to creating one of the most iconic video game systems ever created.

Bushnell’s time with Atari was recently scrutinized following some rumors that Bushnell grew a sexist culture at the Atari company headquarters. He was ready to receive an award for creating the game at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco this week, but the conference rescinded the award in response to the alleged misconduct.

During the time, Bushnell applauded the conference’s decision and apologized for any past indiscretions. In a statement released to the magazine Variety, Bushnell chose to describe his version of Atari, which was slightly different than the sexist one others reportedly came up with.

“We created some extremely strong and capable professional women at Atari. Equal pay for equal work. Promoting women due to capability, and gender not being a promotional construct. We elevated women’s rights to the pinnacle of that time, and I’d do it all again just the same way.”

Atari Movie in Conclusion

The ICO is very real and attempting to raise $40,000,000 USD in Bushnell’s tokens. If you’re serious about investing into the movie, head over to AtariMovie.co ad you can find out exactly what you need to do to invest into the film.
