Atlas: At Last Justin Sun Reveals Tron Secret Project For TRX Community
Founder of Tron Uncovers Top-secret Tron Project, Dubbed “Atlas”
Founder of Tron, Justin Sun recently shared via his Twitter account about the specs of a “secret project”. In particular, he said, “Finally, I would like to say a few things about […] our secret project, now we name it Atlas, after the BitTorrent acquisition.”
#TRON’s #TVM beta launched today! 15 GRs have been replaced by #TRONSR. Block height has reached 1M+. 40+exchanges have completed token migration to $TRX. Project Atlas with @BitTorrent will bring forth great future for both! TRON to the future! https://t.co/XbSKoU2KP9 pic.twitter.com/3rHLK8r2qH

In other words, Atlas is a collaborate project that both BitTorrent and Tron are part of. The roadmap has supposedly been updated to cover this new project, and it seems that the details will be explicitly disclosed near the end of August.
Based on the claims made, Tron’s protocol will be implemented on that of BitTorrent’s to maximize the latter’s lifespan and speed, namely, its existing, Altruism. Whether or not rewards will be offered is still unclear, as such signs have not been presently visible. However, such opportunities may exist in the near future.
As per the report, the Tron Foundation plans to reward those who seed torrents to expand the Torrent ecosystem. It has also been revealed that Tron could easily surpass Ethereum’s transaction capacity because of BitTorrent’s involvement. Most importantly, the team wants to increase access to Tron by publicly promoting the uses of BitTorrent worldwide.
Sun seems excited in the goals in place, as he expressed immense gratitude “for what we have achieved in the past and we are looking forward to seeing what the future holds for us.”
Many mixed opinions have been since voiced and it looks like most of them are not favorable for the new efforts in place.
A Youtuber, who goes by BTC Stacker, expressed that despite the growing number of partnerships that Tron has secured, its value only seems to be dropping. In particular, it was shared that:
“Back during the first week of January 2018 it has reached its ATH of 26 cents and that was when it had nothing announced […] Now after 4 events, TRON has gotten less in value each time.”
He went to say that while integrating BitTorrent into Tron seems like a decent approach, it doesn’t help the fact that people aren’t yearning or even “wanting to buy Tron”.
The point is an interesting one, and worth mentioning, as regardless of the number of partnerships Tron continues to establish – which, has been clearly seen over the course of 2018 thus far – it’s getting the word across and welcoming new investors that should be the main target.
What do you think about Tron’s “Atlas” project? Do you believe that Tron will finally be able to secure the trust and interest of millions of users?
