Avelacom and Gemini Partner to Deepens Its Roots in Crypto to Use Its Equinix’s NY5 Data Center
Avelacom’s foray into the digital asset industry is growing as Gemini Trust Company becomes the latest recruit into its crypto exchange tech vendors. Gemini, a cryptocurrency exchange and custodian, joins Equinix’s NY5 data center.
The Russian IT infrastructure firm is known for its top-performance global connectivity and targets the financial services industry. The partnership will, however, benefit clients of both Avelacom and Gemini, even though, with Gemini, it will increase the available connectivity options.
As for Avelacom, its clients now have a direct connection to the exchange’s infrastructure where they will get fresh market data and use FIX protocol for order routing. The practice usually is a global standard for Pro investors and institutions trading crypto, including those who use Gemini.
Speaking about the partnership, the CEO of Avelacom, Aleksey Larichev, praised Gemini, saying that it exhibits all the important virtues of a “robust, mature, and well-functioning” market. He further said that their company believes that the partnership will benefit their company, especially as it targets high-end trading companies in the US, Europe, and Asia.
Gemini is banking on the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority in its quest to be a broker-dealer. Granted the chance, the cryptocurrency exchange will officially operate as a platform where securities will be traded as well.
But until then, Gemini clients will make do with the various extra connectivity choices presented by the IT infrastructure company’s network. The network has a presence in New York, San Jose, Tokyo, Dublin, Zurich, Frankfurt, Seoul, and Hong Kong.
Avelacom Is Deeply Into Cryptocurrencies
Avelacom majorly connects clients to new markets while slashing overall IT costs, essentially using cloud technologies. Being an authorized vendor of some of the leading exchanges, the firm has already extended its growing network to over 20 global markets.
Specifically, the company deals in a host of products and services, all tailored to support real-time uses and high-volume data streams. It already partners Seed CX, a relationship that enables its institutional investors' direct access to live market data and order routing via Seed CX.
