What Is Axie Infinity?
The Axie platform claims that Axies are similar to real-world pets, as people can raise them as they see fit and raise them as their own.
Each Axie has a unique look and style. Some Axie creatures may look like dogs, while others come in a variety of shapes and sizes including:
- Or dragons
In addition to the different kinds of Axies that can be found in the game, there are also parts that users can find and trade to further the customization and user experience.
What Axie Parts Are There?
Some Axie parts can be freely found, while others are more rare.
There are 4 different levels of rarity for Axie Parts:
Common parts can be found almost everywhere, but they are still useful.Common parts can be combined with other parts to make rare or even legendary items.
Rare parts work the same as Common parts, except they are less common. Rare parts don’t give you any extra attributes or features
Ultra Rare parts are a great find if you come across them. These parts are some of the most useful in the game and give you the biggest advantage when you step into the arena with your Axie
Legendary parts are the most rare, the most valuable, and the most effective in battle. There is a very small chance that you’ll come across a legendary part in the marketplace or through sheer luck, but when you do, these parts will make the biggest impact on your gameplay.
Axies live in their own ecosystem named Terraium. This place is a 6×6 block area that can have different terrain such as water, grasslands, or undra. Different terrains benefit different Axies, depending on the breed and type of Axie you come across.
Terrarium is the platform what you feed, train, and clean your Axies. A level of micromanagement is required to play the game, as they perform the best when they are properly cared for. Micromanagement tasks include feeding them, putting them to sleep, and customizing the various upgrades that you’ll find along the way.
The strength of an Axie is determined by its numerous stats.
The overall stats are calculated from the Axie’s base stats, (determined by the Axie class: dragon, cat, fish, etc.) Additional bonus stats come from parts.
In battle, the body parts and move are used, and the type of attack depends on the Axie class. For example, some creatures use their sharp teeth and claws, while others impale their opponents with a big horn or deflect an attack with an armored shell.
The Axie classes have their own strengths and weaknesses, as each performs better or worse against specific classes.
