BoA Invests in Blockchain

The decentralized ledger technologies lowers costs for the bank, transfer times and enhance the security of the platforms hence the huge investment in the industry. Earlier in the year, the bank announced a patent application for a “multi-tiered digital wallet security” solution that features Ripple technology solutions.
In September, BEG reported the bank joined the Marco Polo consortium, a group of companies developing R3 Corda, an enterprise blockchain solution. The partnership aims at developing solutions that enhance efficiency in domestic and international trades and transfers.
