BCH Bull Roger Ver Predicts Bitcoin Cash to Oust Ethereum Any time Soon
CEO of Bitcoin.com, Roger Ver has taken a bolder stance on Bitcoin Cash (BCH) to tout the forked version of BTC as the better bet to unseat Ethereum (ETH) from its second ranked position on the cryptomarket market capitalization rankings.
The Only True Bitcoin
Roger Ver is a crypto evangelist, and he is one of the most influential evangelists you would ever see in the crypto space. Bitcoin Cash’s hard fork from major cryptocurrency Bitcoin years ago was not without its troubles, and popular influencers such as Craig Wright and Ver were practically the main proselytizers claiming bitcoin (BTC) had lost its way. Bitcoin Cash was the still the only true Bitcoin keeping Satoshi Nakamoto’s (Bitcoin’s founder) original principles and values.
The acclaimed true Bitcoin recently split its camp again last year following internal disagreements to dissolve into tickers BCH and BCH SV (the latter the new one still maintaining Satoshi’s vision). Roger Ver is unperturbed though, and he shouldn’t be: Bitcoin Cash (BCH) might be the only cryptocurrency on the market currently outperforming Bitcoin’s new found resurgence. The value of BCH has more doubled within months into the new year and has maintained a steady growth. BCH is on the rise, and according to Ver, Ethereum should just watch its back.
BCH’s Play In Crypto Revolution
Ver is a staunch supporter of BCH and a regular critic of Bitcoin and he sees the alternate cryptocurrency playing a bigger role in the future than most cryptocurrencies that are currently riding the buzz. Speaking with the official Youtube channel of bitcoin.com, Ver explained that BCH and BTC has more chance of attaining global adoption than Ethereum or other top cryptocurrencies. According to him, it is only a matter of time before BCH skids ETH away from the top.
Asked if he sees cryptocurrencies replacing fiat currencies ‘completely,’ he described the world of cryptocurrency is as new territory for the world and doesn’t see fiat currencies phasing out any time soon.
Roger Ver Is Laughing Now
Last year July, Bitpico, a hacker’s group, had complained about BCH’s seemingly lack of decentralization, giving evidence that 49 per cent of the currency’s nodes were ran by Alibaba. The group had tweeted that it would BCH in a matter of weeks, in a bid to shatter Ver’s growing enthusiasm about the coin.
“The [Bitcoin Cash] attack has been started; it will continue to run as we work to amplify it over the coming months. We expect to have 5000 Bcash attack nodes in roughly 6 weeks and then we will multi-fork the chain. @rogerkver will now cry,”
Bitpico had tweeted at the time.
Well, it’s almost a year, and Ver is not crying yet. If anything, he is preparing himself for a binge of good news.
