Bitcoin maximalists are those Bitcoin supporters that do not believe in any other virtual currency other than Bitcoin. They blindly defend the digital asset, even in situations that it cannot be defended.
Of course, scalability and block size are two of the most debated and discussed topics for crypto enthusiasts. Bitcoin proposed to scale with an off-chain solution known as the Lightning Network (LN) but Bitcoin Cash proponents support an on-chain scalable Bitcoin. Bitcoin Cash forked from the original Bitcoin network because of discrepancies regarding how to scale.
The Lightning Network is expected to help Bitcoin reach a large number of transactions – thousands of transactions per second – without congesting the main network. Moreover, the intention is to process micropayments, which is something impossible with the current Bitcoin network.
The post shared by Ver went viral and the community is discussing about it. According to the moderator, the comment was from “a lying troll.”
This is not the first time that the Bitcoin community is accused of censoring other users that think in a different way. Several reports have been shared in the last months regarding this issue.
