New Multi-Billion Dollar Fintech Hub To Be Established in Hartford by Billionaire Bruno Wu
Cryptocurrency finds a way to thrive in the most peculiar places, and Chinese billionaire Bruno Wu is about to start a new venture in Hartford, Connecticut. This $300 million crypto hub is called FinTech Valley, and it will help consumers to learn more information about crypto-related investments, machine learning, and robotics.
Though Wu’s original notoriety began when he was a media mogul, he eventually turned to technology and became the head of a firm called Seven Stars Cloud. Seven Stars Cloud was the catalyst for developing FinTech Valley. He based this new project in Hartford for its juxtaposition to other colleges in the area, including Yale University, University of New Haven, University of Hartford, and University of Connecticut. It also seems that Wu is working to break into the development of fintech colleges to create a new generation of individuals with the fintech skills needed for future endeavors.
The head of business development at Bitsmap, Miha Grcar, has noted the limited number of people available for fintech firms with the necessary knowledge on the subject. With this shortage, the industry is really hurting for help.
Grcar said, “Globally, the pool of talent — people with experience in blockchain and distributed-ledger technology — is somewhat limited. This is a big challenge.” Grcar was quoted as saying.
According to Business Insider, the new hub may eventually include a college that specializes in educating individuals about financial technology. It is unclear if this decision will change if the company is able to establish courses at one of the local colleges.
