Billionaire Calvin Ayre of Bitcoin SV: Ethereum (ETH) is Based on a Scam, Calls Vitalik a Fraudster
One of the biggest defenders of Bitcoin SV had some very rough things to say about Bitcoin SV recently. Calvin Ayre has affirmed that the entire Ethereum platform is a scam, as Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs), in his opinion are no more than scams, as listed by the United States’ Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
He bases that allegation in an affirmation of the FBI chief in which Steven M. D’Antuono affirms that ICOs are generally hyped and that they use the popularity of Bitcoin to hype their values at lot and do not deliver later. Ayre used these points to attack Ethereum.
The FBI officer has also pointed out that people should keep a distance from businesses which are entirely internet-based and that they should always check the jurisdiction of the companies in order to invest, as they have to know which laws govern these companies.
Bitcoin SV And Ethereum Fight a Lot
This comment does not out of the blue. The Ethereum and Bitcoin SV communities are fighting a lot recently. The co-founder of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin, has often referred to BSV as “dumpster fire”.
Calvin Ayre has responded that Vitalik is a fraud and that he has no business commenting on other business as he is clearly not competent to use his abilities to make his own business work. He also affirmed that the Ethereum co-founder intentionally misrepresented others for his benefit.
A History Of Fighting
Bitcoin SV is not a very well-regarded project in the crypto community as a whole. The folks of Bitcoin dislike the community since the Bitcoin Cash fork and the rest of the Bitcoin Cash community also dislikes Bitcoin SV. After Vitalik Buterin’s comment, Ethereum has also started to be an “enemy” of the company.
This is clearly a recipe for disaster. Craig Wright, the main force behind Bitcoin SV, has declared to be the real Satoshi Nakamoto, an allegation that raised criticism. He was called “Faketoshi” by members of the community because of these allegations. Wright is a controversial figure in the market and part of the hate that BSV gets is mostly because of him.
It looks like this small war between cryptos will continue as nobody actually thinks that Wright, Ayre and the BSV community will stop attacking anyone who gets in their way. At the time of this report, Bitcoin SV was the least valuable of all the three big Bitcoins, the original one, Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin SV.
