The upgrade, which was announced on Twitter as well, will take place on November 14th, starting at 2:00am UTC. Based on the predictions of the platform, this upgrade should last about eight hours. During the upgrade, users will not have the option of depositing, withdrawing, or trading their tokens.
Considering that the eight hours are just an estimate, consumers should check back to the announcements page to find out if there are any other changes during the process. To get push notifications on a smartphone, the company recommends downloading the most recent version of their app.
In an article almost two weeks ago, Binance voiced their support for the upcoming Bitcoin Cash fork. They added,
“We will take a snapshot of all Bitcoin Cash balances at UNIX time 1542300000, 2018/11/15 4:40:00 PM (UTC). Deposits and withdrawals of Bitcoin Cash will be suspended starting from 2018/11/15 3:00:00 PM (UTC). Please leave sufficient time for deposits to be processed in full prior to this time. We will handle all technical requirements involved for all users holding Bitcoin Cash in their Binance accounts.”
Consumers can expect a report after both the upgrade and the fork to let their users know when their trading activity can reconvene.
