Binance CEO Believes Gaming Will Be Next Big Wave for Blockchain Technology Adoption
Changpeng Zhao, or CZ as he is more commonly known, seems to be in support of the tokenization of the gaming industry. With so many more games offering in-app or in-game purchases with actual monetary value, this underserved sector of the entertainment industry could target a new audience with the use of cryptocurrency, which is the direction that this Binance CEO wants to follow.

Binance is one of the largest crypto exchanges in the world, and the CEO took to Twitter to voice his platform’s stance on gaming. CZ said, “Gaming is a not-so-small industry yet to be tokenized. Fast or slow, it will happen. and @binance is here to help in the process. Thanks to @SteemMonsters! #UseBNB” His post was linked to a post from Steem Monsters, which is promoting their use of the BNB token to purchase card packs on the blockchain-based game.
Combining the gaming industry with tokenization could revolutionize the way that gamers immerse themselves in these words. Decentralization as a whole is a concept that the whole industry already supports, though cryptocurrency needs to be approached in the right way. They cannot remain crowdfunding instruments alone; they need to be offered as reward points and other opportunities for gamers. There are billions of dollars to be made by bringing greater security to games, along with transparency and earning opportunities for gamers that would otherwise still play, but without the incentive opportunity.
TRON, or TRX, has already begun the process, developing gaming dApps. Previously, the only platform to offer such a concept was Ethereum, but it looks like TRON is breaking into the market and creating major opportunities in the gaming dApp ecosystem as well.
Even though gaming platforms want to develop more gamers, they want a dApp platform that works more effectively for them. EtherGoo, one of the top gaming dApps that started with Ethereum long ago, has already moved to TRON. This game made a name for itself as the first competitive blockchain game to be launched, which Tron matched by offering TronGoo instead.
Even though the digital currency market has been comfortably sliding down a slop recently, the gaming industry has seen many sales with their integration into the market.
