Binance CEO Hints At Notion To Buy A $25,000 Hublot Watch With Bitcoin
Changpeng Zhao, CEO of the largest virtual currency exchange in the world, Binance, seems interested in purchasing a watch worth $25,000 dollars in Bitcoin. The recognized watch manufacturer Hublot has recently released a new watch for Bitcoin’s first 10 years.
About it, Changpeng Zhao wrote on Twitter:
There, a real watch company!

According to Changpeng Zhao, this shows that lux brands could be implementing similar strategies to attract new customers in a different niche. Virtual currencies are growing all over the world and users are starting to use them for daily payments and purchases.
Changpeng Zhao said that it is possible to target a new niche if a company focuses on virtual currencies and not only fiat purchases. After Zhao’s tweet, Tommy Mustache, a cryptocurrency enthusiast said that it would not be a surprise to see a BNB watch when the virtual currency would celebrate its 10th anniversary.
BNB is the virtual currency used in the Binance exchange. The cryptocurrency is known as Binance Coin and it would also power the decentralized exchange that the company is currently developing. At the same time, users using BNB coins at Binance can receive discounted fees when trading on the platform.
Hublot wrote in a blog post in September that each of the watches sold will have a unique certificate engraved on the watch case with the identification number of the transaction used to pay for the luxury watch. The company explains that there are only 210 watches in order to represent the 21 million BTC that are going to be created.
Hublot wrote about it:
“This new watch is a 210-piece limited edition watch that can only be purchased with bitcoin, and a watch that can be bought directly from the watchmaker with bitcoins. Paying homage to both the iconic Big Bang series and Blockchain technology, the watch will feature Big Bang’s signature industrial design as well as elements taken form bitcoin.”
Back in April, the Italian pen maker Ancora launched limited edition Ethereum pens. However, in the past, it was possible to purchase Bitcoin pens. Due to the fact that the Bitcoin pens produced by the company were very successful, Ancora decided to produce new pens based on Ethereum (ETH).
