Binance Crypto Exchange to Remove BCN, ICN, CHAT and TRIG Tokens

On October 9, 2018, Binance reported that it conducts a comprehensive and period review of the digital assets listed on its platform.

The review is meant to ensure that projects maintain high standards of quality. Coins or tokens that fall below the standard will be subject to further review and potentially delisted.

The platform disclosed several factors that informs its decision to delist digital assets, and they include:

“Commitment of team to project, quantity and level of development activity, network / smart contract stability, level of public communication and activity, responsiveness to [its] periodic due diligence, evidence of unethical / fraudulent conduct, [and] contribution to a healthy and sustainable crypto ecosystem.”

The platform recently used the above criteria in assessing cryptocurrencies and determined that a few are subject to delisting and ceasing of all trading pairs. The impacted coins and tokens are:

  • Bytecoin (BCH)
  • ChatCoin (CHAT)
  • Iconomi (ICN)
  • Triggers (TRIG)

The platform made its decision clear on Twitter by tweeting: “Binance Will Delist $BCH, $CHAT, $ICN, $TRIG.”

Those who use the above tokens or coins will be able to withdraw them by November 12, 2018. The platform also stated that

“Going forward, we remain committed to protecting our users and all Binance stakeholders and will continue to perform periodic reviews of all listed coins and tokens.”
