Binance Labs Supports Three Top Global Blockchain Projects In October
Binance Labs is a social impact fund and an initiative of crypto trading platform Binance to incubate, invest, and empower blockchain and cryptocurrency entrepreneurs, projects, and communities.
In the pursuit of their goal to advance blockchain technology, they have supported three blockchain startups — Contentos, CertiK and Oasis Labs. They have empowered these top blockchain projects to solve the problems that matter most to the ecosystem, for example, in fields such as content creation and distribution, security, and privacy.
CertiK’s founding team, which is composed of Yale and Columbia professors, as well as former engineers at Facebook and Google, tackles under-the-hood issues with blockchain, such as verification and security, that are nonetheless crucial in terms of advancing blockchain’s spread.
CertiK mathematically validates the security of smart contracts – which is a critical pain point we are facing in the blockchain ecosystem – bypassing the limitations of manual detection. The startup’s mathematical, deep-technology approach to solving the security conundrum in many blockchain apps bypass the limitations of manual detection and moves blockchain forward to facing more intricate problems ahead.
The Oasis Startup Hub will provide innovative developers with guidance from leading investors, hands-on technical support and early access to breakthrough technology to enable new applications which feature the security, privacy and scalability benefits of Oasis Labs's decentralized protocol.
Binance Labs agreed to be a valued advisor of the participants in the Oasis Startup Hub. Binance recognizes Oasis Labs’ specialization in pursuing privacy solutions on blockchain platforms. After all, back in July, Binance Labs was one of the main investors behind Oasis Labs’ $45 million funding round for building a privacy-first cloud computing blockchain solution.
Contentos was the first multimillion-dollar investment made by Binance in October. It is a public blockchain project specifically designed and built for the global digital content industry. By leveraging blockchain technology, Contentos aims to resolve major challenges that centralized content platforms face today, such as content distribution, monetization, authentication, and copyright management. Contentos seeks to empower creators by monetizing their content and encouraging collaboration with advertisers, fans, and other creators as well as rewarding positive contributions to the community.
As of now, Contentos is one of the first open-source-code blockchains that includes content distribution amongst its capabilities. Contentos aims to provide a decentralized ecosystem for content creators to have creative freedom and to leave their digital footprint without the risk of third-party interference.
