Binance’s TrustWallet Adds Stellar Lumens (XLM) to its List of Supported Cryptocurrencies

As per an all-new blog post published on Trust Wallet’s official website earlier today, the company has announced its decision to integrate support for 5 new cryptocurrencies, namely Stellar (XLM), Aion (AION), Kin (KIN), Nimiq (NIM) and Thunder Token.

The announcement is perfectly in-line with the firm's earlier press releases— which clearly state that Trust Wallet is looking to provide its customers with support for all of the top-20 cryptocurrencies (by overall capitalization) available in the market today.

On the subject, company founder Viktor Radchenko was quoted as saying:

“Adding support to Stellar’s XLM on Trust Wallet is a result of our community’s overwhelming request and our response to it. Additionally, the Stellar team has made it easy for our development team to get XLM integrated to our wallet with its robust technical groundwork and tools that allowed the integration to be process fast, reliable and easy.”

In order for TrustWallet users to add Stellar to their accounts, all they need to do is search for the token and then click on “+” sign placed next to the XLM symbol.

More On The Matter

For those of our readers who might not be aware, the Stellar ecosystem is powered by the XLM cryptocurrency. It allows users to facilitate secure and fast monetary transactions between a host of digital entities such as:

  • Financial institutions
  • Payment systems/ service providers
  • Individual asset account holders.

Additionally, it should also be pointed out that XLMs native infrastructure is quite unique in the sense that it allows users with the freedom to

“design and build unique financial services without large monetary restrictions such as a required minimum balance”.

Final Take

In closing out this piece, we want to highlight some of the key advantages that are associated with Stellar. For starters, the project is not only fast, scalable, but it also features a framework that is conducive for the development of a number of different decentralized financial products and services.

Alternatively, one can also think of Stellar as being a cross-currency transaction system that can be used for a number of different purposes such as:

  • Facilitating international settlements
  • Serving as a decentralized global marketplace
