Bitcoin Cash Jesus Roger Ver Affirms Altcoins Are The Layer Two Scaling Solution of Bitcoin
The founder of Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Roger Ver, has been criticizing the Lightning Network a lot lately. In fact, he’s doing it since forever by affirming that the layer two scaling solution is far from being as good as it claims to be.
Now, he has recently gone to social media in order to tweet that altcoins have become the layer two scaling solution of Bitcoin. This was, however, a very confusing statement, as it can be seen by the reaction of the community.
Altcoins became BTC’s layer two scaling solution.

A lot of people were left puzzled with the claims and some even assumed that he was implying that Bitcoin Cash was an altcoin (which was not clear, but it was not probable). This is far from the first time that Roger Ver said some very confusing things on social media, though.
His opinions are always aimed at attacking Bitcoin Cash, in any case. he had already opined that Bitcoin Cash was better in all core functionalities that Bitcoin Core and has followed Gabriel Cardona, the director of developer services of Bitcoin Cash, in bashing the LN. According to both of them, the LN sucks because it has an awful user experience.
The Success of the Lightning Torch
Despite how Roger Ver dislikes the LN, the Bitcoin Lightning Torch initiative has been making a great job at promoting the technology. Several important people like Changpeng Zhao (the creator of Binance), Jack Dorsey (creator of Square and Twitter) and Erik Voorhees (which created ShapeShift) have already passed the torch.
So far, the LN has crossed over 40 countries. Even Fidelity Digital Assets, the digital arm of the financial behemoth, has already done it. This is a lot of attention and the folks of BCH are not very happy about it.
Whatever Roger Ver may have to say about Bitcoin, it is a fact that the LN is having a degree of success which is independent of its “awful user experience”.
While we keep wondering what he actually meant in the tweet, the Lightning Network continues to grow, so it does not look like Roger Ver has won today.
