Bitcoin Dev Trolls Twitter, Says Justin Sun’s Tron Will Flip Ethereum In The Next Year; Is He Right?
Udi Wertheimer, a prominent Bitcoin developer, trolls his twitter followers that the Tron network will overtake Ethereum, which is currently the second-largest cryptocurrency, in the next year.
Watching @justinsuntron discussing Tron+Poloniex. Tron is *so* going to flippen Ethereum in the next year or so, it’s not even funny
All of the DeFi bois don’t realize it yet, but they’re going to work for Just when he acquires ConsenSys https://t.co/LqgAy1GsPJ

Ethereum, which is a pioneer in the blockchain world, has seen a high number of competitors appearing these days and Tron is one of the most popular networks. Recently showing a growth rate much quicker than Ethereum. The ecosystem basically grew from something irrelevant to one of the major players in less than two years, something quite incredible. Or at least that's how Udi is putting it.
Wertheimer noted that Justin Sun, the creator of Tron, had bought a stake in Poloniex, a large crypto exchange, and even joked that Sun will buy ConsenSys next year. Sun has many plans for partnerships between the token and the exchange.
Being the bitcoin maximalist that he takes every chance he gets to knock down any other coin. Arguing that Ethereum was slow, inefficient, inflexible and has a complete lack of business skills while Tron was quicker, could do more in less time, had faster developers and a better sense for business. All of this, in his opinion, makes it the obvious winner over ETH.
TRON:
✅more blocks
✅more transactions
✅fast development
✅business acumen
✅more usecases
✅proven to be censorship resistant so farETHEREUM:
❌slow
❌inefficient
❌inflexible
❌development hell
❌complete lack of business skills
❌tyrants censoring whatever they dislike— UDI WERTHEIMER (@UDIWERTHEIMER) November 12, 2019
It should be noted, however, that Justin Sun is known for creating a lot of hype surrounding the launch of new features and products. Or even using his 2 million followers on twitter to do announcements of announcements. So everything that he plans for Poloniex must be taken with a grain of salt. Now, Sun is also encouraging the users of the Tron network to start using Poloniex and is taking the first steps to build an empire for Tron, but the future is uncertain.
Although he was just trolling on Twitter, is what he saying actually true?
This is hard to say. It is easy to make predictions, but hard to actually get them right. Right now, the situation could go either way, as Tron may still end up being a winner or a loser.
