Top 7 celebrities with a serious interest in Bitcoin (BTC)

We are long past the time when only tech developers and hardcore programmers were interested in cryptocurrencies. These days, cryptos are getting so popular and exposed that even celebrities are jumping on an opportunity to become investors. Not only that, but some of them are even actively endorsing their chosen coins, and are even launching their own.

This is such an interesting development for the crypto world that we have decided to make a list of top 7 celebrities that have already invested in Bitcoin (BTC). Let's begin.

1. Björk

Björk is a popular singer from Iceland that has developed a strong interest in Bitcoin. In fact, she even allowed her fans to buy her 2017 Utopia album via Bitcoin. To do this, Björk partnered up with Blockpool, which is a company from London.

According to new reports, this singer is now continuing her collaboration with Blockpool in order to enable payments in numerous altcoins, including AudioCoin, Litecoin, and Dash.

2. Ashton Kutcher

3. Richard Sherman

Next on our list is Richard Sherman, the cornerback for the NFL. Originally, he warned against crypto investments. In time, however, he became a blockchain supporter, and has even invested in several cryptos himself, Bitcoin included.

Apart from BTC, Sherman also owns a few Ethereum and Litecoin tokens. However, he claims that he is still not into thousands of smaller digital currencies that have appeared in the recent years. It would seem that his change of heart regarding BTC came after his fans asked if cryptos will become a valid payment option for his merch.

He agreed and has soon converted them to dollars, which is a decision he has come to regret. He bought BTC when it was only $1,000 per coin. If he had been more patient, he could have cashed in when the coin's price surged to $20,000 per piece.

4. Mel B

At fourth spot, we have Mel B, a former Spice Girl, who started accepting BTC as a payment method for her Christmas single back in 2014. To do this, she partnered with CloudHashing, which is yet another firm based in London. This move has made her the first artist in the entire music industry to start accepting BTC.

Back then, in a press release, Mel B stated that she is more than excited regarding cryptos. She said that this technology has a potential to make the lives easier for a lot of people and that BTC has united her fans under one currency. Since then, CloudHashing has earned a place among the biggest companies around the world that offer mining contracts for BTC.

5. Nas

These are the ATMs that can exchange pretty much any traditional currency into BTC in less than 20 seconds. They first got installed at Las Vegas-based LINQ Hotel & Casino. At the time, Tyson stated that he is honored to personally join the Bitcoin revolution.

His interest in the new technology continued well after that, and he partnered up with a company called Bitcoin Direct.
