Bitcoin searches have been somewhat following the price as in mid-December, it reached its highest point just like the price. A year before this, the searches started picking up to this level and just like the decline of price throughout 2018, the searches also fell.
Now, if we take a look at the searches for the past month, in the crypto market itself, Bitcoin is leading the space.
Tuur Demeester, the founding partner at Adamant Capital shared the estimated monthly internet searches via Estibot on Twitter. According to these estimates, Bitcoin is the clear winner with 2,746,000 searches while the fourth spot is also for Bitcoin for the search term BTC at 1 million. Bitcoin further makes an appearance down below at 9th spot with its ticker XBT having 40.5k searches this month.
ETH term came at second with 1.83 million searches while stablecoin Tether beats any other crypto with 1.22 million searches this month.
As per Google Trends, in 2019, Ethereum and Tether are closer to each other but they are nowhere near Bitcoin.
