Bitcoin Maximalists Joins Forces with Justin Sun to Promote Tron & Tear Apart Ethereum
Crypto Twitter (CT) is full of drama. Bitcoin maximalists fighting off with Ethereum maximalists have been going off ages just like Ethereum people trolling Tron and vice versa has been going on since… forever.
Even founders of both the crypto projects Vitalik Buterin and Justin Sun keep on taking shots at each other. Most recently, while on the topic of whether the companies focus should only be on shareholder value, Buterin gave an example of Tron stating,
“I'd claim Tron's scamminess is a huge factor limiting their ability to get top quality R&D talent.”
Well, this got Bitcoiner Udi Wertheimer dish out some regular trolling to Ethereum’s way.
The man who coined the term "bitcoin maximalism" is going around calling projects like Tron that forked Ethereum "scammy".
ETH might be able to attract more elitist talent, but whatever they come up with, Tron can adopt in 1 day at a fraction of the cost. https://t.co/1sUcSSbGtk

“The enemy of my enemy is my friend”
By the looks of the latest CT drama, it seems two factions have joined the forces following “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.” And the trolling is going strong and to some other level altogether.
Recently, Sun appeared on Messari’s podcast talking about expanding into DeFi and challenging Ethereum. This according to coder Wertheimer said reflects “an entrepreneur who understands current market dynamics and keeps making big moves” while Ethereum he said is all about “science projects and elitism.”
Blockstream co-founder and CEO Adam Back also jumped in saying, “Tron Foundation could just buy Consensys and replace eth2.0.” He clarified that it’s just an “observation” and not promotion as “They look similar ICO funded, newsflow marketed coins from where I'm sitting.”
But people were then quick to point out that from the outside Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin SV looks like Bitcoin as well.
Adam along with other Blockstream founders Gregory Maxwell and Pieter Wuille have been instrumental in their contributions to Bitcoin protocol.

ETH tyrants are losing it. It is now ILLEGAL to say that someone else is smarter than Vitalik. Cult of personality overload. Toxic! pic.twitter.com/svZsTuMo9Y

Liquid Courage or Retaliation?
All of this is happening amidst the reports of Tron moving to Blockstream’s Liquid that claims to deliver faster transaction settlement and privacy. And this move looks like a driving point for Bitcoiners from Blockstream to take a strong liking to Tron.
Bitcoiner Rodolfo “NVK” Novak, creator of hardware devices ColdCard and OpenDime tweeted, “We have a plan. Ethereum is over. Tron moving to liquid network on bitcoin.”
Back to work. Start working on #Tron on #LiquidNetwork. Also @Poloniex do you want to work on #LiquidNetwork? Cc @udiWertheimer @nvk @adam3us @Excellion

Hacker Noon contributor Grubles (@notgrubles) says the fact that Ethereum maximalists are burning bridgers with the bitcoin maximalists is why Tron likely to surpass the second-largest cryptocurrency. Last month he said,
What if I told you Vitalik not only popularized the "maximalist" pejorative, but also popularized (started?) the "Blockstream crippling Bitcoin" meme?
BTW, it's kind of hilarious this content is still on Ethereum, org. pic.twitter.com/EhOj40hyE4

But now things seem to be going too far with another Blockstream top executive, CSO Samson Mow saying, “Ethereum plebs just can’t stand that Tron is a better world computer.”
Samson also tweeted, “Unpopular opinion: Tron is more decentralized than Ethereum,’ when the TronScan website clearly shows Binance is the No. 1 Tron Super representative that acquired 60% of all votes just days after launching its staked wallet.
Meanwhile, Ethereum ‘maxis’ are partaking in its own “The enemy of my enemy is my friend,” by actively promoting Bitcoin Cash which has faced backlash for cheating investors into buying BCH when they wanted to buy Bitcoin (BTC).
Bitcoin Cash isn't a scam – Tron is.

Make it Stop!
This cringeworthy trolling going on twitter is simply in poor taste and not helping anyone and as Bitcoin OG @notsofast says this shows, “Bitcoin & crypto are Theirs. Not yours, not mine.”
The painful irony of bitcoin celebrities who are so eager to make Ethereum look like a scam, they can't tell they've been tricked into actively promoting Tron. 🤦♂️

Bitcoin maximalists are clearly triggered and threatened by $ETH and as a result are promoting $TRX to distract from all the cool things Ethereum is doing
The only reason you could compare ETH and TRX at this point is deliberate misinformation and deception

While laser focused on the success of Binance, CEO Chagpeng Zhao has some knowledge to impart without directing it at anyone, “We don’t need to attack others to advance our own cause” but “help each other to advance all of our causes.”
