Bitcoin Millionaire Erik Finman To Invest In Metallicus’ Metal Pay Platform
Erik Finman, known as the “youngest Bitcoin millionaire” due to his young age, has decided to become an angel investor of Metallicus, the company behind Metal Payments.
The investment was announced by the CEO of the company, Marshall Hayner. He will partner with Finman to improve the crypto banking platform and turn into an exchange with over 17 assets and features that are said to be similar to Venmo’s.
Metal Pay has been very successful so far. The company has over 130,000 clients in the United States and it processes over a million dollars in transactions each month. Hayner pointed out that at least 30,000 users are active each month.
Finman, who is only 20-years-old now, was a teenager when he got into Bitcoin. He put an undisclosed amount of money on the platform and has told the crypto media that he may be willing to put all his fortune there in the future.
Why? To beat Bitcoin. According to Finman, Bitcoin is great, but it only goes so far. Its payments are not remarkably fast and he believes that Metal Payments can become an alternative for people who are into crypto and want better alternatives.
Another reason for betting on the company was clarified by Hayner. Both men are not very happy with the current path that the industry has followed. Hayner wants to move beyond what the industry was turned into. According to him, Bitcoin has decided to mimic the financial market instead of continuing its open-source roots.
Together, the duo is set to follow this vision and to compete with Bitcoin. Will they be able to succeed? Only time will tell.
