Bitcoin Mining in Minecraft Games Ends inside PlayMC’s Bitconomy

Minecraft has been a popular game for quite some time, so it was a welcomed trade to be able to earn Bitcoin during gameplay. The process involved the use of PlayMC, which was a server that converted game time into a mining system. However, PlayMC was pulled, and gamers are no longer able to gain Bitcoin as a result. However, the technology involved was still quite enticing.

How Did PlayMC Work?

Within Minecraft as PlayMC, the entire game involves blocks, which can be moved, eliminated, or used to create anything. The whole program is meant to embrace flexibility and promote imagination, and Bitcoin is the currency within the game. Players would earn “bits,” which are a fraction of a Bitcoin, during the course of the game with tasks and in-game challenges.

Bigger challenges would come with a greater number of bits. The bits were the only way to pay for classes, items, and other in-game purchases. However, the best part about the bits is that users had a way to take them out of the game and put them in their own digital wallets.

PlayMC was user-friendly for all age groups, whether the player was an adult or a child. With the right settings, either account could earn Bitcoin. The program even offered single-player or multi-player groups.

The Bitconomy of PlayMC

While it was operating, PlayMC would convert the main games of Minecraft into smaller programs, which had specific objectives that had to be completed to be given the bits for it. With the plug-in, the user had the option of constant play for however long they wanted to participate. The concept of giving incentives for these tasks came to be known as PlayMC’s Bitconomy.

The bits went to players that achieved kills, high ranking in tournaments, and participation in power-up levels. One of the major goals of the Bitconomy was to demonstrate the use of digital currency with younger players, helping them to understand the role they play in the future of this industry at a level they understand.

How Did PlayMC and Bitconomy End?

One of the best moves made in the cryptocurrency industry for Bitcoin was easily the adaption of this best-selling game for mining, and younger gamers took to it rapidly. Though the website ended access for consumers on June 30th last year, the Bitconomy survived.

Though gamers are no longer to earn Bitcoin with Minecraft, the creators of this algorithm, adapted it to WaveFighter instead, which runs on the same servers that hosted PlayMC.
