Bitcoin-Centered Parody Of Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’ Hits YouTube
Rebecca Black certainly caught the attention of many through her hit song ‘Friday.’ So far, the record has massed over 100 million views on YouTube.
Now, a YouTube channel has released a Bitcoin-centered remix of Friday, called ‘BitPay – Black Friday Bitcoin song.’ The Crypto Finally channel aims to use this parody video to promote BitPay, a crypto payments platform focused on Bitcoin. The video was published earlier this week in anticipation of this year’s Black Friday,
The video uses a humorous approach to deliver its messages; it paints individuals who are yet to adopt crypto as old-fashioned. Obviously, the song targets the youth, especially going by its choice of words.
So far, the video has had modest viewership. Regardless, it has done enough to capture the attention of the BitPay payments platform. Concerning the video, BitPay commented that they were enthused by being mentioned in cryptocurrency awareness campaign. They particularly thanked Crypto Finally for using their card to purchase goods and services. In conclusion, BitPay promised the video’s creator an unnamed present. It may come as a surprise, but Crypto Finally was not associated with BitPay prior to the video’s release.
Increasing Adoption Of Digital currencies Among The Youth
Recently, the Piper Jaffray investment bank published a report indicating that cryptocurrencies were the most desired item among teenagers for the upcoming Christmas season – beating the traditional favorites such as cash, gift coupons and video games. Although the crypto market has been performing dismally of late, such statistics and the video promoting Bitcoin provide hope regarding the future of virtual currencies.
Similarly, a recent study conducted by Deidre Campbell has shown that cryptos still have a future. The report from this survey indicated that 55% of millennials either have or are readying themselves to invest in digital assets.
