Bitcoin Retail Payment Acceptance to Grow in 65,000 Switzerland Stores via ‘SIX Payment Services’
Switzerland’s Bitcoin Suisse closed a partnership with Wordline to make crypto payments available in the country.
Worldline is the payment and transaction provider for Europe, while Bitcoin Suisse is the crypto broker for Switzerland. The two firms have already signed a partnership to give online and in-store Swiss retailers the green light to receive crypto payments.
65,000 Retailers Will Implement the New System
Since 65,000 Swiss retailers are already using the national Worldline infrastructure for payment and transactions, which is dubbed by SIX Payment Services, they will all implement the new system. The traditional network will get to evolve as soon as the cryptocurrency capabilities will be introduced, seeing that a class of assets will get to be used in mass, also both at physical and online shops.
Swiss Merchants Will Not Take Any Conversion Risk
The CEO of Worldline Switzerland, Marc Schluep, has said in an interview that Bitcoin Suisse brings merchants the opportunity to take advantage of the new offer without having to take any conversion risk. The two companies have also said they’ll provide intuitive services that are user-friendly for the staff in charge of sales and for consumers too. The payments will be made in euros or Swiss francs, while the transaction figures integrated into reports. Worldline has the intention to bring cryptocurrency payment services all over Europe and in the near future.
Switzerland’s Cryptocurrency Bank Welcomes Professional Investors
On November 12th, the Swiss cryptocurrency bank SEBA said it welcomes enterprise clients and professional investors. SEBA holds a license for banking and securities dealing from the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority.
