Bitcoin SV Block Size is Getting Bigger, Mines the Biggest 128 MB Block Yet
The block size of Bitcoin SV (not to be confused with Bitcoin) is getting bigger and bigger as today, the biggest block of 128 MB was mined by nChain’s BMG mining pool. This block had 1,440 transactions which is another record as this is the current block cap of BSV blockchain.
Just a few days back, a 113 MB block was mined by CoinGeek mining on March 28th and on the previous day, BSV mined 56 MB and 51 MB size blocks.
“Not to beat a dead horse, but this continues to prove that with unlimited scaling, BSV has chosen the path that will lead to the most adoption and the most possibilities for app developers. Any one of these big blocks would have choked another blockchain for hours with their transactions, but BSV was able to handle the quickly, efficiently, and at low cost,”
Bitcoin scales even at 2 mb. The secret is it is an array of arrays. Bitcoin can fold itself within itself.
The settlement layer is comprehensive- you can digest the globe txns 1x daily as a last resort.

When it comes to Bitcoin SV’s adoption, Bitpaste and Bitstagram have played a major role here as it allows the end users to save files and images stored on the blockchain. Moreover, BSV blockchain browser, Bottle by Unwriter further allows the users to browse the end product.
However, early last month, it has been found that an unknown person has been exploiting the hard fork of Bitcoin Cash (BCH) to store child porn. This has been due to the increase in the amount of data that could be sent by each transaction by 450 times that means transactions of up to 100 KB are possible.
However, the block explorer took action and stopped showing the data in transactions and made content invisible to the general public as the very nature of the blockchain doesn’t allow to delete the data.
When it comes to price, the 12th largest cryptocurrency by market cap of $1.1 billion, Bitcoin SV has been trading at $64.98 with 24-hours gains of 0.81 percent, as per the data provided by Coinmarketcap.
