Bitcoin Twitter Handle Switches Allegiance To BTC After Supporting BCH
The crypto ecosystem’s most controversial Twitter handle, @Bitcoin has switched its allegiance from BCH to BTC. This seems to have come as a surprise to many, as Cobra Bitcoin reports:
Seems like @Bitcoin is now in the hands of Bitcoiners.

The designated URL of the handle is now Bitcoin.org, the domain registered by Satoshi Nakamoto, instead of Bitcoin.com, Roger Ver’s domain.Additionally, @Bitcoin has unfollowed a mass of Bitcoin Cash-centric individuals.
The account that has almost a million followers usually has feed that consists of the average fees on Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash, the latter of which has bigger blocks to support higher on-chain transactional throughput. However, this seems to be changing.
Looks like @bitcoin deleted all the $BCH propaganda. Interesting.

Popular Twitter account Rhythm trader reports.
The @bitcoin handle deleting all its mentions of $BCH is the ultimate capitulation the market has been waiting for. Bullish.

Many speculate that this is because of foul play by Jack Dorsey, the head of Twitter because of his bias towards BTC and Lightning Network. A reddit user notes:
“Wouldn't surprise me if this was more shenanigans of Mr. Dorsey because for him bitcoin is what blockstream told him it is, so he went full pro LN.”
Another user KosinusBCH notes that this could be one of the 4 different scenarios, the first one is that Jack gave it to someone else, another situation can be that Jack told them to stop tweeting negatively about BTC or axe Finally another situation is that the person in charge of it wants to monetize it, hence needs to get on jacks good side so he gets removed from the shadowban list.
Unsurprisingly /r/btc blames @jack for this.https://t.co/HRmu4indbh

To be fair, no one exactly knows who runs the accounts. Most of what’s being discussed publicly is just speculations. The lack of clarity has added fuel to the fire and the social media wars have been escalating. Even Roger Ver had earlier said:
I've never owned the @Bitcoin account. It is owned by someone involved in Bitcoin since 2009. He supports #BCH, is well known in the Bitcoin ecosystem, but doesn't want to deal with incessant trolling so he has chosen not to make his identity public.

It seems like Roger will have to change his narrative now. Even earlier there are very few people who believe what Ver has to say.
