Bitcoiner Pierre Rochard’s New Microsoft Excel Plugin Allows For BTC Lightning Network Payments
The Lightning Network (LN), the ultimate scaling solution for Bitcoin (BTC), shows that it has an incredible potential. The founder of Bitcoin Advisory and software engineer, Pierre Rochard, developed a plugin for Microsoft Excel that would allow Bitcoin transactions to be processed through the LN using the popular spreadsheet.
This new solution allows people that do not run a complete node to process payments using the LN. All the information has been released on Twitter and he explains how the system works.
The LND node software now runs from *within* the Excel plugin. With neutrino, that means that a Windows + Excel user can be making and receiving LN payments with a few clicks. https://t.co/qeP2dCJSqp

He says that the LN node software runs from the Excel plugin and is called Neutrino. However, it wil be used only by users with a Windows and an Excel platforms. The whole process is fast and simple and it takes just a few clicks to be completed.
This development is very important for the whole cryptocurrency market since it would allow individuals to start using virtual currencies. However, he mentioned that the new application has been developed not for everyone but only for experienced users since the technology is currently under development.
Some users were asking for more information about the Plugin while others congratulated him for its development. At the moment, there is not specific date about when the plugin will be available but Rochard explained that the plugin is almost complete and could be launched by the end of the month.
As the project is open source, other interested developers can start to use it and improve it. The Lightning Network aims to help Bitcoin scale and process millions of transactions per second at a relatively low price. Additionally, the LN would help the network to make micro payments, something that is currently almost impossible on the Bitcoin Network.
