The post further offered a brief outline on each of the updates made on the Peach wallet. Below we give an overview of the three updates made:
1. Extended and Standard mode for wallet users
The Peach Wallet users will now be able to select between the extended and standard mode for the wallet users.
The Standard mode allows private access to all the actions performed in the application and the Lightning node you have set up. The standard node will allow users to make payments and send funds through the Lightning network on a private channel obscured from anyone else.
The extended version offers users more payment options than the standard mode such as payments without a user-generated Lightning invoice, streaming/recurring payments, and contact lists. The developers are working on making these features available outside the Peach network.
2. Opt-in product improvements
The Peach wallet has added a checkbox that allows you to opt in to product improvements tailored for you.
The Peach wallet will collect analytics on your user habits and tailor correctly your preferences making your interaction with the wallet more efficient. The system does not collet private data in the process and keeps all information anonymous.
3. Simplified mobile setup
The new update will offer users a direct way to link their mobile wallets with the desktop/web wallets through a QR Code.
Previously, only the web application had a pre-installed full lighting node while mobile users had to create a remote node which is technical for most users. The development will allow more Lightning users to adopt the Peach wallet.
