Bithumb Exchange Shares Massive Crypto Airdrop Details: 15 BTC and ETH, XRP Up for Grabs
There are celebrations going on at the popular South Korean crypto exchange, Bithumb who recently completed their wooden(5th) anniversary. However, instead of dissing out any gifts made of wood, the popular exchange is reportedly giving away Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and XRP to select winners. And boy are they letting the fireworks go; up for grabs are 100 Million Won Worth of BTC as well as 100 ETH and 8,000 XRP.
The exchange released more details yesterday, 12th of November, via their twitter feed announcing that over the course of a couple of events there will be airdrops of multiple cryptos. The Bithumb has already had “two seasons” of airdrops, the last one being in September.

How Will It Work
In their official announcement, the company says that the Super Airdrop will encompass two events. Both events started yesterday on the 12th. However, the first event will draw to an end on the 11th of December. Following that. on the 24th, a winner, for the reward of 15 BTC, will be announced.
If it looks simple, that is because it is; in fact their site delineates the process perfectly by noting “After signing in to Bitsum, click on [Apply for Event] at the bottom, and you will receive 1 million won worth of Bitcoin (BTC) by drawing one of the application members.”
The second event does not have a closing date at the moment and will be discussed in a separate notice. This one though has a more specific target to achieve. The exchange will look at the top 500 cumulative transaction amounts every week. Based on a chart of the top 7 trades, up to 500 people could directly benefit from it. The rewards for this event will be distributed in Cryptocurrencies as well as other credits and coupons.
What Are The Announcement Details:
This offer is, expectedly, only available to 1 account. The winner is one with the highest transaction, based on their mobile number and is only for the specific member who purchases the coupon, as per the website. It goes on to note, “In case of Air Drops 4 ~ 5, it will be paid out randomly among the passwords listed on the Company and converted into the closing price on the 7th day.” The winning prize of 15 BTC, equivalent to 100 million won, will be paid as 15 tokens regardless of the of the price variations due to market forces.
The fine print discusses the coupons and other things. It states that “Event coupon No. 2 applies only to the five types of passwords (Jet Cache, Monello, Dash, Bitcoin Gold, Omise go), and the password type can be changed after the announcement.” The event coupon is not refundable while the commission coupon is valid for a single month. It ends on a cautious note, “this event may be changed or terminated prematurely,” and made it clear that the exchange will be keeping an eye out for unfair practices and fraudulent transactions.
crypto enthusiasts will no doubt be emboldened by this offer. However, any such offer always comes with a whiff of scam. The average user would be well served to be e wary of pump-and-dump schemes. This sort of caution might be attributed to a lack of balance,. There is a chunk of the community who view all marketing and promotion with at least disdain and outright suspicion. However, owing to its previous track record, Bithumb should not be part of the problem.
