Bitmain Officially Signs to Offer Employees Options, Soon-Approaching “US Share Sale” Anticipated
It has been recently reported that mining-focused firm, Bitmain will now be offering options to employees who previously did not make the cut.
News outlet, Bitcoinist referenced Chinese new platform, Jiemian about this endeavor which was shared by a source who preferred to remain anonymous. As for the reason why, it is believed to come from Bitcoin [BTC]’s recent, positive trends.
Based on the claims made, “Bitmain previously only gave options to core development staff and those who joined before October 2015 […] This time, anyone who joined before 2018 and who have certain positions will get options.”
Bitmain supposedly suffered from the unlikely turns taken by Bitcoin in 2018, whether this implies operations or revenue generated. This is not only for Bitmain, who was forced to shut down operations in specific regions, but mining-focused businesses on a whole. Due to the positive turns witnessed this year, said firms are preparing themselves to get back into the game!
The inclusion of offerings for all employees isn’t the only possible move Bitmain has made, which has yet to be confirmed by the firm. As per Bloomberg’s reporting, Bitmain is currently working towards promoting a
“U.S. share shale”, which is anticipated for the “second half of the year.” In particular, they plan to “file listing documents with the U.S Securities and Exchange Commission.”
In a recent blogpost by the admin at Bitmain, it has been disclosed that there has been an increased interest in their Antminer, supercomputing hardware empowering blockchain. This, again, is believed to be a result of the rise in BTC prices.
During the Bitcoin2019 conference, held roughly a week ago in San Francisco, a booth was set up for the Antminer. Here’s the sentiment expressed by the team regarding the conference:
“The Antminer booth was packed with interested attendees who were looking to learn more about Antiminers currently on the market and how to get started in cryptocurrency mining […] This offered an opportunity to provide insights into how Bitmain innovates and learns best to serve its customers.”
