BitMEX’s Arthur Hayes Donates $2.24 Million to the Jackie Robinson Foundation
BitMEX CEO, Arthur Hayes, has recently made a donation of $2.24 million USD to the Jackie Robinson Foundation. His organization aims at providing funding for leaders and talented students in colleges across the United States.
Arthur Hayes Makes Multi-Million Donation To The Jackie Robinson Foundation
The donation provided by Hayes will be giving 20 scholarships for classes between 2023 and 2024. These individuals will have four years of paid University in the United States. These individuals will have the same level of education, challenge, and leadership ability that Arthur Hayes acquired.
BitMEX is not a traditional cryptocurrency exchange, but it offers investors the possibility to trade crypto derivatives markets. That means that they can place their funds in funds that track the price of specific digital assets.
Mr. Hayes has been working with charities in order to popularize BitMEX. In general, investors and individuals consider that helping others is a positive and good thing to do. His donations include ambulance vehicles.
According to Hayes, the JRF Scholars program was very important for him as a student and helped him reach where he now is. He has now provided with the same opportunity to 20 different students.
This is not the first time that there is a generous philanthropist int he cryptocurrency space. Back in December 2017, when Bitcoin was reaching its all-time high ($20,000), the Pineapple Fund started to give millions of dollars to charities around the world.
The Pineapple Fund donated $55 million of Bitcoin to charities with the slogan
“because once you have enough money, money doesn’t matter.”
Ripple has also decided to donate $1 million to Tipping Point in order help fight poverty in the Bay Area.
