BitTorrent Affirms Company’s Growth Has Been Upwards Since TRON Acquisition
A lot of changes have happened on BitTorrent after the company was acquired by the Tron Foundation. For instance, five employees left and other 16 ones were hired. This led to all sort of speculation about the reason for the departures and whether they were related to the acquisition or not. Also, it looks like the company has seen a huge growth since it was bought.
According to the company, the five employees left the company in seek of “new opportunities” or to pursue “further education”. The company is now expecting more team members to join.
According to the CEO and founder of the Tron Foundation, Justin Sun, BitTorrent and Tron will work together for a brighter future. Also, Justin has recently affirmed on a letter to the BitTorrent team, that he acquired the company because they shared a vision with the Tron Foundation to democratize and decentralize the web.
Also, according to Sun, the 100 million active users of the BitTorrent network and the commercial opportunity were not the reason of the acquisition, even though they add value to it (or at least that is what he says).
Justin believes that this partnership will strengthen the infrastructure of the internet and will help it to be fully decentralized. Also, they will actively help in the development of the Tron network so it can become and the largest and more influent blockchain network in the world in the near future.
Project Atlas
In order to ensure that the companies would be working together, Justin Sun has just unveiled his new “Project Atlas”. The project would be a major integration between the two systems and its main goal would be to make BitTorrent faster and to help both companies. This, according to him, is an important move for both companies.
BitTorrent was recently elected as a Super Representative for Tron and it looks like the connections between the two companies are tighter every day.
