Users will be able to purchase the privacy coin Monero using the terminals provided by the company. Monero focuses on privacy and anonymity, allowing users to privately send and receive funds. There are other privacy coins in the market such as ZCash (ZEC) or Bitcoin Private (BTCP), but Monero is the largest and most popular.
The company wrote in the press release about the new addition:
“Continuing on our trend of rolling out new features and upgrades to our products, we can now happily announce that Monero (XMR) is available to buy on our crypto ATMs.”
The company informed that the decision to add Monero is related to the fact that they highly value privacy and individual rights. For Bity, tools that include privacy will be key to the development of a human-centric focused digital economy. Monero is one of the assets that allows for it and supports that effort.
The company says that the virtual currency ATMs that they offer have low transaction fees and the prices are updated every 30 seconds.
These are other characteristics of the ATMs:
- Secure connection, software kept up-to-date
- FAQs and guides available when you get started
- We have a dedicated support team that’s here to help
The ATMs are located in many different cities in Switzerland such as Zürich or Lausanne. There are currently 43 locations in Switzerland to purchase virtual currencies. Additionally, the country is ranked 9th according to the number of ATMs available.
A short time ago, the company added support for Ethereum.
