Bletchley Park Asset Management Invests in Archax Institutional Digital Securities Exchange
Bletchley Park Asset Management has announced that it has invested in Archax, an upcoming digital trading platform for institutional investors.
Archax will be based in London. The exchange will target institutional clients and professional investors, intending to offer them access to all types of crypto trading. Archax is looking to acquire a license to run a Multilateral Trading facility, having applied with the Financial Conduct Authority.
As of now, the launch date hasn’t been determined. However, the team behind Archax is confident that the exchange will go live before the end of 2019.
Graham Rodford, a co-founder and CEO of Archax, said that the next significant development in the financial markets would be the tokenization of assets. He added that blockchain technology brings liquidity to assets that are considered illiquid and hard to trade. Graham also believes that the blockchain can make the traditional liquid financial markets efficient as well as reduce transaction costs.
Graham reiterated that Archax is looking for seed investments, but will only accept funding from partners who add value to their platform and understand the benefits of tokenization. He expressed the belief that Bletchley Park will deliver these targets to their project.
Rodford will be among the panelists in the upcoming Barcelona Trading Conference. Other prominent names on this elite panel are Austen Alexander, the VP of Kraken, Sui Chung from Crypto Facilities, Marius Hansen, a co-founder of Deribit, and Mariana Gospodinova, the COO of Binance Europe. The main item on the agenda will be the adoption of cryptocurrencies among institutional investors.
Lewis Fellas, the CIO of Bletchley Park, said that they strongly believe in institutional adoption of blockchain and digital currencies. He added that these two have the potential to add real value and disrupt the existing financial markets.
Lewis mentioned that they were keen to invest in innovative projects that understand blockchain technology and its potential. He believes that Archax fits these requirements and that they are excited to be one other early investors in a platform that looks to revolutionize the exchanges market.
Besides Bletchley Park, another company that has invested in Archax is SPiCE VC.
