Sallie Krawcheck Leaves Digital Asset
We have heard how many experts in the traditional market left their companies to join the crypto and blockchain market. There are many examples of this exodus from traditional to crypto-related firms.
Nonetheless, there is a firm, Digital Asset, that has lost important members during the last few months. Sofus Mortensen was in charge of DA’s open source smart contract programming language. DA aimed at spreading its technology beyond closed proprietary implementations.
At that time, Mortensen decided to return to a banking institution, Danske Bank. This is the largest bank in Denmark and a recognized institution in Europe.
Now, Sallie Krawcheck, the CEO and also the co-founder of Ellevest, left the board of DA. A few weeks ago, the firm decided to remove her name from their site.
DA has been experiencing an exodus of its employees and executives. For example, is leader Blythe Masters decided to leave the firm back in December 2018. Gavin Wells, head of Europe, was replaced by Oliver Hugh-Jones, the head of business development for Europe. In addition to it, James Powell, the CIO and CTO of engineering at Digital Asset left the firm.
DA is working on replacing the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) Chess system for a new blockchain-based settlement system.
