Nuggets has recently launched its mobile app, Alpha to iOS users. Nuggets is a decentralized platform that uses blockchain technology to provide users with services that allow them to make e-commerce payments, log in to services and the necessary measures to verify his or her identities without having to worry over sharing personal data with third parties.
According to the company, they are receiving over thousands of applications expressing interest in being able to access Alpha. CEO and co-founder of Nuggets, Alastair Johnson said,
“Using blockchain technology, we’ve developed a platform that will revolutionize the way we store personal data and make transactions online.”
This is definitely a great step towards maximizing one’s privacy as recent scandals like that of Facebook and Cambridge Analytica have had many doubting safety on the internet altogether.
Although a lot of people are wanting to be part of Alpha, Nuggets will only be giving access in limited batches to users. Specifically, those who have been part of the whitelist will be given priority, and this will also enable the initial testing. Upon downloading the app, users can experiment around and offer feedback to their will. Allowing users to share their feedback shows Nuggets’ commitment in dedicating themselves to their clients and ensuring that a trust is maintained throughout.
Nuggets supposedly has more in store, as an Android Alpha will be launched in the weeks to come and eventually have a payment function in the coming months. Retailers and e-commerce providers who are interested in maximizing protection of customer’s personal data can also benefit from Nuggets’ technology, and given they reach their set goals, they can make a positive difference in online payments and identity verification procedures.
