Blockstream Integrates Liquid Network Support for Its Green Wallet to Store Liquid Bitcoin (L-BTC)
Blockstream one of the leading blockchain software development firms who are behind the creation of Liquid network has recently added Liquid network support for its native Green Wallet.
With the latest integration users on the blockstream green Wallet can make liquid Bitcoin payments from their mobile devices. The added feature has already been pushed for the Android and iOS devices, while the desktop version for the same will be arriving soon.
Blockstream Green Wallet users can now store, send or hold liquid Bitcoin on the Liquid sidechain. The added support comes as a big boon for the customers as the Bitcoin transaction takes quite some time since it requires multiple confirmations before it is validated. However, Blockstream promised to cut this inherent time to a considerable amount and says the max time for any liquid transaction on its wallet won't exceed 2 minutes.
The liquid network itself has been revamped recently by the Blockstream to enhance privacy features. The latest confidential technology ensures that the transaction on the liquid network even when verified by the third party does not disclose the amount of transaction, and only shows the sent and received the address.
The Liquid network is not just supported for the Bitcoin transaction, but other asset classes like tokenized fiat and securities can make use of the liquid network to ensure privacy in the transaction, and the same holds true for the latest integration of Blockstream Green Wallet. The Blockstream Green Wallet would support all asset classes supported on the Liquid network.
Blockstream Green Wallet is More Secure Than Most in The Decentralized Space
Blockstream Green Wallet boasts of a multisig security model, which does not just make Bitcoin transaction data secure but any other form of asset class supported on the liquid network.
The firm has also promised to add additional hardware wallet support for those who are looking for exceptional and extreme digital asset security in the near future. Thus the users are in full custody of their digital assets at any given time with the Green Wallet.
How to use the Blockstream Green Wallet with Liquid Network
Using the Blockstream Green Wallet with the Liquid network could not have been easier. A user needs to first acquire Liquid Bitcoin or L-BTC, which can be done in numerous ways. Once the user has acquired the L-BTC, all they need to do is connect to the Liquid network and create a liquid wallet in the Blockstream's Green Wallet.
Once you have integrated the Green Wallet with Liquid network, you can transfer the L-BTC to your Green Wallet address like any other form of Bitcoin transactions. The L-BTC fund should arrive within 2 minutes.
Although the liquid network has been recently configured to support issued assets or tokenized assets of various forms, many of these projects are lined up to be launched on the network later this year. The most prominent of these would be Liquid-based tokenized Fiats and Liquid Securities. The users who want to test the issued asset transaction on the network can do so with their own assets for now.
The project has been made open source as well and has been added to the Green Development kit so that other Bitcoin wallet developers can also add the liquid integration features into their wallet app.
