BloXroute Blockchain Distribution Network Test on Ethereum Network Shows A Possible Drop in Block Propagation Time By 50%
According to the test results, BDN’s integration with Ethereum blockchain reduces the time span of one block propagation by almost 50%. The network’s average is normally at 360 milliseconds but dropped down to a mere 172 milliseconds with the BloXroute solution.
This tech advancement has proven to be a potential solution to Ethereum’s inefficiencies and could eventually boost the network’s clientele. Uri Klarman, the CEO of BloXroute echoed that Ethereum could largely benefit from their BDN product;
“Ethereum feels the burn of the scalability bottleneck more than any other blockchain out there […] It's losing momentum, it's losing market share. They feel the problem. most others don't.”
Klarman further noted that they have integrated BDN in a number of mining pools and are looking to expand its market share to bigger mining pools. The tech not only solves a scalability problem but makes the Ethereum network more time-efficient.
A few days ago, the Ethereum network was however criticized by Chia’s CEO for having a poor design based on Asic resistance and an energy intensive consensus. The CEO advocated for farming over mining which essentially means leveraging protocols such as Proof of Space or Proof of Time. Despite this critic, its native coin ‘ETH’ has surged by 5.8% as the crypto market rallied over the past day to bounce back to the $200 billion mark.
