BNK Energy And CoinGeek Mining Team Up To Launch A Data Centre Worth $15 Million In Kazakhstan
BNK Energy and CoinGeek Mining have come together to launch a multimillion-dollar, massive data centre to improve their crypto mining services. The data centre will be the backbone of CoinGeek’s crypto mining international fleet. Located in the northern part of Pavlodar, this new BNK Energy setup cost over $15 million to build and employs an experienced team of 16 expert professionals.
The facility initially operated with four megawatts of energy after its launch in August 2018. However, that energy capacity has since been increased to 11 MW for the second launch phase and is expected to increase by 18 MW in November of this year. According to BNK Energy, the target is to have the facility operating at a high energy capacity rate of 33MW before the end of the year and also increase the size of the team to 60 skilled technical professionals.
About BNK Energy
BNK Energy is described by local news media like a dedicated provider of crypto mining services. The firm offers a reliable offsite hosting service for crypto mining firms. These services include set up of mining rigs and monitoring and analysis of all the equipment, along with uninterrupted internet and power service. The company also considers its services as one of the best value products in the mining sector, with a focus on reliability and profitability for hosted mining farms
The reason BNK Energy chose the Pavlodar region to set up this new data centre was that the district has plenty of surplus electricity. It also greatly helped that the government has significantly low tariffs in the area for emerging industries. Pavlodar has long been looking to attract crypto investments, including cryptocurrency companies and mining farms to its region as it seeks to translate into become the epicentre for the popularisation and adoption of blockchain and crypto technologies.
The facility was officially launched on September 14, 2017, in a highly successful event that had extensive representations from the government. The top leaders at the launch included Kazakhstan's Prime Minister, Honorable Bazkytzhan Sagintayev and other representatives who were taken on a tour of the first mining cells within the company along with the electronic meters located at the facility’s control station.
During the launch ceremony, Taras Kulyk, the CEO of CoinGeek Mining, said that the project was a huge first step for them to help expand the range of their crypto mining services. Taras added that the CoinGeek Mining team was committed to developing lasting partnerships with the highly skilled BNK Energy team to continue improving their services and serving their clients more effectively. Both companies are expected to reap great rewards from the new data centre.
