Bob Moore Auto Group to Accept Crypto Payments as Bitcoin Starts Attracting Mass-Market Shoppers
Coindesk’s 2018 Consensus Conference had some pretty neat developments. One of the most interesting, at least to the high-end auto market, is that cryptocurrency is becoming more prevalent in the auto market. That is, more retailers are accepting cryptocurrency as a form of payment.
Aliant Payment announced that it is adding Bob More Auto Group to its list of merchants that accept payment via bitcoin. The auto group has 18 dealerships in Oklahoma and its payment system will allow users to pay in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin. Customers can pay for not only vehicles but also parts.
As Bob Moore Subaru General Manager, Charles E. Davis explains,
“As the Premier dealership group in Oklahoma we are excited to be the first in the state and one of the first large groups in the country to adopt cryptocurrency as a form of payment. Subaru is a progressive brand and only deserving to be the first one to institute digital currency in the group. We expect great things from this ever-evolving space and with Aliant payment systems ability to remove the volatility, we were able to make it a reality.”
Payment with cryptocurrency may be a prime way to streamline business operations, and it may also be a method for dealerships to bypass the fees from traditional payment processors.
