Brave (BAT Token) Blockchain Web Browser Software Surpasses 3 Million Active Users
Brave Browser, the new web browser that was funded through ICO, has just surpassed three million active users. In addition, the blockchain based browser has also made the list of the top 10 apps on Google Play Store in 21 countries across the world. This is some very positive news as the browser is expected to pass the five million users milestone before the year’s end.
In making the announcement, Brave Software, the company behind this open source browser, highlighted the fast pace by which it’s gaining popularity in the world. If you consider that Brave browser was only launched last summer after a successful $36 million initial coin offering, then you can appreciate the amazing growth that it has experienced.

Even more importantly, the browser is now listed in the top apps in Play Store’s free communication category. This includes #7 and #8 in Canada and US respectively, while being listed as #8 and #10 in France and South Korea.
The number of verified publishers on the platform has also increased significantly, with over 18,000 publishers. This number includes nearly 5,000 websites and over 13,000 streamers on Twitch and Youtubers. All these publishers received their respective BAT payments as part of growing the adoption of Brave Browsers. Brave Software also issued BAT grants to users to help them support their favorite sites and creators.
All these positive developments have meant that the price of the Basic Attention Token or BAT has steadily consolidated over the last few months. The price has risen up to $0.265 up from $0.227. The Brave Browser project now boasts of a phenomenal market capitalization of around 265 million dollars.
What Is The BAT Token?
The BAT or Basic Attention Token, is a digital, transparent and decentralized ad exchange that is based on the Ethereum blockchain. To offer a more streamlined ad exchanged, BAT led to the creation of Brave browser, a privacy-centric, open-source internet browser. Unlike other browsers, Brave comes with an internal ledge that can anonymously capture user attention and reward publishers precisely using BAT tokens.
Thanks to this BAT token, advertises can gain better returns on their investment with ad campaigns, while providing clear earning incentives for both publishers and consumers.
